Buxus

Height: 0,5–0,6 m

The best-known evergreen shrub, growing to a height of 1 m, with a dense system of branches. A popular decoration for parks and gardens. It blooms in April-May with beautiful, tiny yellow flowers with a distinctive scent, and makes the garden magical with its small, dark green leaves. It grows best in a sunny or partially shaded spot and in soil rich in nutrients. Water needs are medium, and it is drought resistant. It tolerates low temperatures well. Thanks to its slow growth, it is perfectly suited as a solitary plant in a pot or rock garden, as a low hedge, or in combination with other plants.
